Next week after 5 years, PCSO Jen Jolley 23641, is leaving Crewe Police. Jen has been the local Officer for the St Barnabas and Crewe West Ward areas. Jen is well thought of across her beat area, and is well known by the children in the local schools, where she regularly joined them for 'dinner for difference'. Jen's dedication to safe guarding vulnerable people is second to none, and is known to her colleagues as always going the extra mile to support people on her beat.
We know that Jen will be deeply missed by the people that she has supported in her community areas.
One of Jen's favourite events from over her time as a PCSO was 'Barn Fest' as she called it, which was a huge community fun day on Leighton Brook Park. She said that event embodied everything that a community event should. You can see from the event photo's how much fun Jen had that day.
You may know Jen from seeing her name at the bottom of your parking ticket (if you've ever received one), as Jen is very passionate about road safety. Jen even kept a tally chart of her parking tickets on the white board in the office, and regularly made sure to check for new locations requested by yourselves on the Residents Voice Survey. She knew how important is was to local people, so made this an every day habit for out on her patrols.
Jen's also often been the person behind the speed camera, once again because she knew how important road safety was to our local community. We would often see Jen coming back into the office on a freezing day to 'thaw out' after a Winter session on the speed camera, as we used to joke about. No matter the temperature, Jen would be there helping to make our local roads safer.
Jen has been involved with large community events such as 'The Policeaster Bunny Event', 'Santa Paws and Panda Claws Event' and was keen ambassador of The Knife Angel and Anti-Violence Bee, and Jen has helped to educate thousands of local children about various safety topics.
Jen was also well known by the children at Kops N Kids, so much so that when other Officers would visit, the children would say "when is PCSO Jen coming back". She certainly made a positive lasting impression on the young people, and was always a role model for children needing guidance with their behaviour. She has also helped close to 100 local children to receive their Blue Peter Award.
One of our favourite memories of Jen will be when we visited a property to help a vulnerable resident look for their cat, Jen found the cat and carried it back to the house. It was only then that the resident decided to mention that the cat had fleas. Jen's face was a picture to say the least! We still chuckle about this now!
Jen you will be greatly missed by our team here at Crewe Police and the residents in your community!
Please use this email reply as a chance to say your farewells to PCSO Jen Jolley 23641 of Crewe Police Beat Management Team.
Stay safe. PCSO Lizzie Jolley 22582 Crewe Police
